Purpose:
Leading the Driver Resource function to support all driver operations business areas across bcal with the onboarding and ongoing maintenance of all drivers ensuring they have the right tools and resources to maximise their output. Drive efficiency, processes and business reporting with an eye for detail. Work at pace, manage & positively influence key stakeholders and proactively lead the driver resource team.
Key Accountabilities
Customer / Strategy / Plan
1. Provide an efficient service to all Driver Operations functions ensuring all Drivers have the right kit at the right time.
2. Maintain core stock levels in line with business requirements.
3. Manage the Driver stock ordering process across all Operations.
4. Engage and set expectations across all necessary departments in forecasting for stock & set-up of new drivers; Resourcing, HR, IT, Finance, Driver Admin & Operations.
5. Manage and consistently maintain in-active Driver data with a focus on retention.
6. Manage and consistently maintain Driver kit return data and process.
7. Manage and consistently maintain trade plate stock and allocated driver trade plates.
8. Manage and consistently maintain core systems to reflect accurate live data – Manpack, MIB, trackers, Unform, Shell & BP portals.
9. Consistently work to agreed SLAs.
10. Provide and maintain consistent business reporting – daily, weekly, monthly & annually.
11. Seek continuous development, efficiencies and improvements across the Driver Resource function.
People/Leadership
1. Proactively lead the Driver resource team to deliver an exceptional support service across Operations.
2. Build strong relationships across multiple operational departments with a thorough understanding of their processes.
3. Confidently manage stakeholder expectations and challenges.
4. Drive efficient ways of working, compliance and processes.
5. Role model BCA Values and Behaviours.
6. Build strong relationships with 3rd party suppliers such as the DVLA and kit providers managing efficient ways of working and opportunities for cost saving.
7. Support the wider operational teams with ad hoc business projects as required.
Financial / Commercials
1. Support the Head of Resourcing with input and development of the annual Driver Resource budget.
2. Be accountable for the Resourcing budget within your business area.
3. Consistently seek & propose cost effective solutions.
Risk / Process
1. Support to enable the business to always be legally compliant across the recruitment, onboarding and employment cycle, escalating any risks and issues as required.
2. Escalate any stock challenges that will impact business objectives.
3. Escalate any misuse of Driver kit.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
