Head of Conveyancing Location: East Hampshire/Greater Portsmouth
Salary: Competitive + Bonus
We’re on the hunt for a Head of Conveyancing to lead a property team—because, let’s face it, houses don’t sell themselves.
Whether you’re a Conveyancing Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer, if you’re an experienced conveyancer with enough know-how to answer tough questions, keep things moving, and lead a team (with just the right amount of charm and authority), we want you!
Think of this as your chance to be the Beyoncé of property law, except with more land registry forms and fewer costume changes.
They’ve been serving the fine folks of Portsmouth and Hampshire for over 125 years, so you could say they know a thing or two about the law (and the occasional vintage legal quirk!). Laws may have changed, but their commitment to helping clients through life’s ups, downs, and house moves remains as strong as ever.
There's a real sense of camaraderie—you might even catch them singing "Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside" (not one of Beyoncé hits but - oh well)
Juggling a caseload of residential property matters like a pro—whether it’s freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, remortgages, or new builds, you’ll handle it all with style.
Leading and motivating our team, ensuring everyone’s on top form (and not just because there’s cake in the kitchen).
Networking like a legal social butterfly, bringing in business and charming clients with your knowledge and professionalism.
Making sure everything’s running smoothly with the firm’s CRM, case management system, and post-completion tasks. In other words, you’ll keep the legal train on the tracks.
We need someone who’s been around the conveyancing block a few times —so, 5+ years of residential conveyancing experience is ideal. If you know your way around the conveyancing process and can confidently say, “I’ve got this,” we’d love to meet you. Bonus points if you’re the type who can keep calm under pressure (and maybe crack a joke while you’re at it).
Expert knowledge of residential conveyancing—let’s just say you know more about property law than most people know about their favorite TV show.
Client charm—because keeping clients happy is 90% of the job (the other 10% is knowing how to work the coffee machine).
A knack for business development—you’re not just keeping the ship afloat, you’re steering it toward new opportunities.
A competitive salary of plus a bonus (yes, there’s money to be made!).
Flexible working hours -find times that suit you as long as those clients are happy.
A workplace pension (because we’re responsible like that).
If you’re a conveyancing superstar looking for a role where you can make a real impact, we want to hear from you! Let’s make legal history together (or, at the very least, help some folks buy their dream homes).
