Position: Workshop Operative Location: Norwich, Norfolk Hours: Basic hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (Mon-Fri) / 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (seasonal variations apply) The Role As a Workshop Operative, you will be responsible for assisting with or completing the construction, production, and assembly of cases and related products using a variety of hand and power tools. You will work closely with our Workshop Manager and other team members to ensure high-quality production and adherence to company standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist with or complete the construction and assembly of cases using hand and power tools. Fabricate and assemble sub-assemblies to support the timely completion of complex products. Liaise with the Workshop Manager to implement work schedules and meet deadlines. Maintain high-quality production standards and report any issues promptly. Continuously develop skills to maximise efficiency in workshop operations. Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment. Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to improve product quality and efficiency. What We’re Looking For: A methodical and logical approach to work with a strong technical aptitude. Ability to understand basic engineering drawings, methods, and terminology. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Good numeracy and literacy skills, including basic material calculations. Additional Requirements: Flexible approach to working hours, with availability to work extended hours during peak seasons (December – March). Clean or near-clean driving licence preferred.
