Job overview
The post holder will act as operation manager for all estates activities and deputies for Head of Estates as directed. The role will ensure delivery of a safe, efficient and effective Estates service and interfacing closely with support team and Head of Estates to ensure they are provided with appropriate maintenance support and advice relating to building services and equipment. To manage resources dedicated to the operation and maintenance of the Trust Estate. Ensure compliance with all Estates statutory requirements, standards, specifications, NHS Trust policy, best practice and guidance.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to undertake the duties of Responsible Officer, Senior Operational Manager, Authorised Person and Competent Person across a range of estates specialist areas.
The post holder will be responsible for the Maintenance Management of Estates and Engineering Contracts. Responsible for budgets, specification, control and co-ordination of all service contracts including reactive and planned. Implement Standing Financial Instruction (SFI) compliance throughout all procurement practices within Estates. To ensure the Trust’s Energy and Building Environment meets sustainability, government agency compliance and all statutory standards at all times.
