Electrical Fitter
£25,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience.

My client is Europe's leading overhaul and repair provider within the booming aerospace industry and has an unrivalled reputation for providing a broad range of services to international and regional airlines, helicopter operators, and airframe manufacturers. Having now been in business for over 60 years, they are a very secure and well-established organization; who house some of the best names in the industry, all attracted to the business by its excellent reputation and the training and development opportunities they provide to their highly skilled workforce.
Due to strategic expansion, an opportunity has now arisen on their team for an Electrical Fitter to join them and take ownership of the disassembly, testing, fault finding, and repair of various safety equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stripping, cleaning, inspecting, and building small electro/mechanical components (AC/DC generators and starter generators).
2. Raising and completing inspection reports.
3. Updating details onto the computer system.
4. Working with the team to meet production deadlines.
5. Maintaining quality standards, in accordance with regulatory and company procedures.
6. Working with the Team Leader to meet customer service levels.
7. Meeting health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
In an ideal world, my client is keen to find someone with a background in the repair and packaging of electrical equipment and who has previous experience of working in an engineering/workshop environment. They will, however, be open to considering people from alternative industries/specialisms, who can demonstrate the potential to transfer quickly.
Regardless of previous expertise, you will have prior experience of interpreting and following compliance manuals, be a team player, by nature, and work well under pressure.
In return, my client is offering a salary of £25,000 - £35,000, with further career prospects available within the group for those who want it. You'll be working on a permanent day shift, and the company offers some flexibility, with the working hours being either 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm.
