Working Hours: 8.30-5.30 Monday to Thursday / 8.30 - 4.30 Friday

The Security Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced integrated security systems, including Access Control and IP CCTV. This role requires strict adherence to industry standards, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, efficient project execution, and a commitment to a first-time-right approach.
This is a field-based role requiring travel across domestic and occasional international project sites. The Security Engineer must be prepared to work away from home when necessary, follow all health and safety regulations, and ensure full compliance with security industry standards. Effective use of company systems is essential, with responsibility for obtaining customer sign-off on all completed work.
Skills, Qualifications & Training
Experience & Technical Proficiency
* Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience with large security system projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of Access Control, IP CCTV, and security networking technologies (e.g., ACT365, Suprema, Akuvox, 2N).
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
Certifications & Compliance
* Familiarity with industry safety procedures and certifications (e.g., ECS, IPAF).
* Must meet BS7858 screening requirements for security vetting.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Compliance
* Follow all health and safety policies, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
* Maintain accurate and efficient use of company systems, ensuring real-time updates and customer approvals for all tasks.
* Complete detailed work reports, including installation images and customer walkthrough confirmations.
* Install, maintain, and service security systems, including Access Control and CCTV, in line with industry and company standards.
* Configure and commission security systems to meet specific project requirements.
Stock & Resource Management
* Maintain vehicle stock levels, ensuring accurate recording of all parts used in work reports for proper billing.
Technical Support & Training
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborating with manufacturers when necessary.
* Provide client training to ensure proper system use and maintenance.
Project Coordination
* Act as the primary on-site contact for large-scale projects, overseeing all engineering activities.
* Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, keeping them informed of project updates and any required changes.
