Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to become a Paediatric Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse and lead on excellent paediatric out-patient care in the department.We are looking for an experienced Paediatric Nurse who has passion for delivering excellent care to children and families. The Children's Out-Patient Department needs a dynamic paediatric nurse to support the busy area, the department currently delivers a range of Paediatric Clinics including Oncology, Endocrine, Epilepsy, Cardiac, Diabetic, Asthma, Out Reach, Nurse Led and General paediatric clinics. The successful post holder will be responsible for the management of the nursing team, effective running of clinic activities and leading on change in the department to improve the patient experience of children and their families. Main duties of the job The Senior Sister/Charge Nurse will work with the paediatric Matron and senior management team to lead and co-ordinate a dedicated team of nursing and support staff in the delivery of a high standard of nursing care to children and young people who are attending for out-patient care. Working alongside the nursing staff we are lucky to have a team of Play Specialists/Nursery Nurses that are invaluable in helping both children and their families. Your development will be supported by the Paediatric Matron in this management role.
