We are currently looking for an Administrator to work 15 hours a week over 2 days within our Radiology department at our Shepton Mallet Hospital.

What you'll be doing
The Radiology Administration role has important administrative and developmental responsibilities thus it is essential that the post holder has substantial pre-existing patient management skills and knowledge of clinical administration systems.
* To meet and greet patients and staff in a professional and courteous manner
* To coordinate and manage the booking of NHS patients referred to the Department both internally and externally.
* To effectively communicate to patients the details of all imaging procedures undertaken within the Radiology Department.
* To liaise effectively with all Hospital Departments and ensure that inter-departmental data flow is efficient and responsive at all times.
* To assist with the entry of scanned imaging information into the Hospital Health Information System (PACS).
* To assist with managing patient flow both in to and out of the Radiology Department including the provision of a patient reception service.
* To maintain the Radiology Department Patient Record System, sending reports/images to external agencies.
* To undertake the booking of subsequent outpatient department appointments for review after imaging.
What we’ll look for in you
Ideally you will have:
* A sincere desire to be part of a team that takes great pride in helping patients
* Sound knowledge and understanding of IT and software packages (Word/Excel)
* Excellent Communication skills (Written and Phone)
* Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative
* 2 years relevant experience
* Good computer skills
* To be flexible to work to shift patterns including evenings and weekend working hours.
