The Role:
We are looking for someone to build, scale and lead the company's comms and PR function. You will be responsible for shaping and promoting the company’s narrative, point of view and message. Key to success in this role is a passion for storytelling, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage executive level relationships while driving impactful media engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build a PR function from the ground up, defining its strategy and execution.
2. Cultivate strong relationships with media outlets and handle journalist inquiries.
3. Provide support and coordination for high-profile events, ensuring seamless execution.
4. Develop and manage internal communications to align teams with the company’s mission and goals.
5. Engage with analysts and government stakeholders, fostering productive partnerships.
Skills required:
1. Media Engagement: Proven track record of delivering high-quality media coverage and managing media relations in a high-growth or start-up environment.
2. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling company messaging.
3. Stakeholder Management: Strong experience in coordinating executive stakeholders, especially around events and public appearances.
4. Project management: Demonstrated ability to manage media activity and calendar of publications.
5. Crisis Management: Experience managing communications during critical or high-pressure situations.
