Maintenance Engineer in Southampton: Days (4-on/4-off)
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team, providing engineering support and maintenance services across our Packaging & Distribution sites.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
* Respond promptly to requests for assistance, investigating issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
* Record all changes made to processes or reasons for repairs using established methods.
* Investigate and resolve breakdowns efficiently, either independently or by collaborating with other engineers or external contractors as needed.
* Perform routine maintenance activities, including logging into the CVM system, completing planned maintenance tasks, and verifying equipment functionality.
* Carry out a range of facilities maintenance tasks, such as fire control and sprinkler system checks, light bulb replacements, and emergency housekeeping duties.
Requirements:
* An engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering.
* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience providing technical support in a regulated or FMCG/high-speed packaging industry.
* Relevant process knowledge to provide team/process support.
