Due to increased demand, on behalf of the headteacher, Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced specialist teaching assistant to work long term in one of our partner pupil referral units. This is a grand opportunity to support children with different learning needs in a truly rewarding role. You will work within a purpose-built environment with children in KS2 to KS4, collaborating with multi-agencies to create strategies that support pupils, with a shared goal of re-integration to mainstream school.
Facing daily challenges, you will need to be a patient and resilient individual with a desire to make a difference in children’s education. Building rapport with children and adapting to different needs and abilities, while ensuring safeguarding is a priority, is essential.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. GCSEs (5 Minimum) – A* - C
2. Enhanced DBS
3. EWC
Experience is preferred but not required; experience can be professional or personal. Driving is desired but not essential, as there is public transport local to the school, and public parking is offered to those who drive.
