Who are we?
We are April Six Mobility, a Marketing and Communications agency with 35 years of experience, that specialises in working with the most exciting, forward thinking mobility brands and manufacturers. We’re based in a beautiful, converted barn on the rural edge of Bournemouth, but still just a 20-minute drive from some of the best beaches in Dorset. Yes, we’re a little spoilt and we know it!
A week in the life of this developer could be:
- Monday spent working from home finishing the dev work on a new React feature for BMW UK’s technician reward and recognition web app.
- Tuesday, working in the beautifully converted barn office in the countryside, switching to resolve some UAT feedback on the updated customer analytics and mapping tool for national auto-parts division of Stellantis (owners of Fiat, Jeep, Chrysler, Vauxhall, etc).
- Wednesday answering questions and supporting the BMW Japan team in their use of our commercial Digital Asset Management product, solving their problems in time for their next morning meeting.
- Thursday enjoying a free artisan coffee from the coffee van and then discussing new features requested from the Porsche customer service team, investigating any complexity and then responding with an estimate of effort. In the afternoon, sharing a drink from the beer fridge with the whole team.
- Friday working from the comfort of home, a remote check-in with the team then on to develop new features for our commercial products, stopping for lunch to get your steps in for this months company Stepathon.
Reporting into our Lead Developer you will need to be a self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced environment and have a good attention to detail. You will need to be good at prioritising multiple demands and dealing with a wide variety of responsibilities including the future development of Cortex, a digital asset management system plus that has been built and maintained in-house.
You will have the ability to think creatively and be able to work collaboratively to find the most effective way of getting the job done. Above all we are looking for someone who wants a high degree of autonomy, a positive can-do attitude and has a good track record of delivery.
April Six Mobility embraces diversity and inclusion. We’re an equal opportunity employer committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills. We are also a Disability Confident Committed employer.
Whilst this job description provides an overview of the main requirements of this role, it is expected all staff undertake any other reasonable activities to help our business succeed.
We are looking for a pragmatic and organised person who wants to get involved in many different projects. You will be passionate about tech and the work you do, bringing commercial awareness and excellent communication to the role.
