Are you a qualified nursing associate looking for an exciting new challenge and would like to be part of our new Acute Response Team? If so, we are searching for Band 4 Nursing Associates to come and join our new and evolving nursing team in CHFT Acute Response service.
This service will support the deteriorating patient on both sites and will be working with the new integrated team (formerly Critical Care Outreach and Hospital Out of Hours).
The post holder will work as an integral member of the Acute Response Team, providing an exemplary service to deteriorating patients. Responsibilities include:
1. Utilising an appropriate assessment tool to determine allocation of tasks to skilled professionals.
2. Utilising own learned skills, to include triaging patients, venepuncture and cannulation, collection of blood cultures, ultrasound guided cannulation, venous blood gas sampling, and spirometry out of hours.
3. Being involved in informal and formal education to other healthcare professionals within the Trust.
This role will cover out of hours, predominantly nights, weekend days and nights, and bank holidays. The post holder will be required to rotate between both sites that make up Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

8. To perform procedures as detailed within the NMC Standards for proficiency for Nurse Associate (2018) (Annexe B) to meet the nursing needs of the patients in their care.
9. To work within the NMC code of professional practice, and within policies, procedures, and guidelines of Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Trust.
10. To have a willingness to undertake additional skills and training dependent on department requirements.
11. To ensure that high standards of nursing care are given and maintained, acting and raising concerns when standards are not being maintained following local policy and procedures.
12. To act as an advocate for the patient and the family, including promoting and protecting their interests, privacy and rights, equality, and inclusion.
13. To be involved in Trust initiatives to improve patient safety and care.
