Essentials:
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions with little information available.
* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to analyse and interpret information quickly.
* In-depth understanding of industry standards and regulations.
* Excellent understanding of reporting procedures and record-keeping.
* Excellent project management skills and the ability to be methodical and diligent.
* Detail orientation and the ability to pay attention and identify minimal changes in regulations.
* Excellent conflict management skills and the ability to dissolve any issues easily.
* At least three years of experience in financial services, compliance management, legal practice, consultancy, and other managerial areas.
* Must have proven working experience in UK conduct regulations, regulatory change management requirements, and applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead ISO 9001 and 27001 system maintenance and implementation.
* Conduct internal audits across all compliance areas.
* Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
* Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.
* Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
* Proactively identify, record, and escalate compliance risks to the relevant stakeholders.
* Support the business by creating appropriate training materials and resources.
* Assist the team in planning and implementing communications to ensure all staff are aware of their compliance obligations.
* Assist the team in the deployment of compliance monitoring of processes including reviews and audits.
* Work with the business to advise on general compliance in new processes and projects.
* Manage the customer & supplier due diligence processes.
* Complete DPIAs and data management security questionnaires.
