Specialist Dental is a prestigious referral private dental practice in central Guildford, Surrey. We are a well-established multi-disciplinary practice with a friendly large team of clinicians and support staff. We are professional and customer-centric.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Specialists/General Dentists with dental procedures. Willing to learn and improve skills with guidance from the clinician to ensure smooth running of the day.
* To be flexible to work with all clinicans in the practice (other Specialists, dentists and hygienists).
* Knowledge in surgical dental assisting essential
* Dental implant assisting preferrable
* Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment
* Excellent bedside manner to care for the patient essential
* Maintain accurate patient records by amending the templates on the dental software provided
* Have good command of spoken and written English to communicate with patients and staff and ability to write notes
* Team player helping your dental nursing and reception colleagues to ensure smooth running of the practice
Requirements:
- Valid current qulified GDC Dental Nurse certification
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and in a fast-paced setting
As a Dental Nurse working mainly with the Specilaists and General Dentists, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Your responsibilities will include assisting during procedures, sterilizing equipment, setting up of x-rays, maintaining patient records, and keeping a check on stock. To excel in this role, you must have a current Dental Nurse GDC qualified registration certification, previous experience as a Dental Nurse and knowledge of dental procedures and instruments. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are also essential for success in this position.
