The Role: Step into a dynamic role as a Production Shift Manager where you'll lead and inspire production teams in a thriving environment. You will lead and manage production operations to exceed targets and improve efficiency, champion health & safety standards through active participation and compliance & mentor and develop high-performing teams in line with company values. Responsibilities: Proactively promote health and safety, along with GMP standard. Ensure compliance, active involvement, and adherence to company activities to meet and surpass risk management and accident reduction targets. Oversee the ongoing performance of team members under direct management and conduct annual formal appraisals to review individual performance. Organise and deliver essential training and development aligned with business objectives. Direct management of 6 production staff. Prioritise and implement plans according to operational goals, ensuring daily targets are achieved (e.g., service, quality, customer specifications, legislation) through effective Short Interval Control processes. Instil the concept of "What Good Looks Like" across all staff levels, challenge, investigate, and rectify non-conformances, such as quality, stock rotation, and waste management. Identify process bottlenecks, report them, and engage in basic problem-solving with relevant team members while leading continuous improvement initiatives during shifts. Manage labour availability in accordance with the plan and collaborate with the Planning and Resource Manager to optimize labour across the site. Ensure timely payroll completion (CaptureIt / Sinica). Coordinate maintenance activities in collaboration with engineering team members to deliver planned, reactive, and autonomous maintenance. Monitor and control all plant conditions to meet budgeted recoveries during shifts. Implement and ensure compliance with DWOR processes to consistently meet KPIs and targets. Requirements: Experience managing teams within a fast-paced manufacturing or processing environment Proficient in lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving methodologies Excellent communication skills for both one-on-one and group presentations Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to analyse data Proven capability within a fast-paced manufacturing/processing or other FMCG Qualifications: Basic food hygiene and HACCP certification 4 on 4 off shift pattern - days and nights - 06.00am to 18.00pm / 18.00pm to 06.00am Competitive Salary
