The Role
We’re hiring a Procurement Director to help our customers transform their SaaS procurement process. You will be the regional leader for Vertice's procurement service in North America: coaching and mentoring a high performing team that negotiates SaaS contracts on behalf of our customers to drive cost efficiencies.
* Team Leadership: coach and mentor the Procurement team to deliver high quality service for customers, ultimately optimizing savings on SaaS renewals.
* Procurement Expertise: you’re credible in front of senior Procurement and Finance leaders, and you’re willing to impart your knowledge to your team through playbooks and training.
* Customer Centricity: you love customers and want to contribute to our north star of customer retention. This may involve getting into the details: you might negotiate contracts or meet customers as an executive contact.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: you’ll play a key leadership role in North America, collaborating with Sales and CS teams in the region.
* Global Delivery: collaborate with Procurement leaders in other Vertice offices (UK, Australia) on the Procurement vision and strategy, driving consistency worldwide.
Requirements
* We’ll consider candidates based across the US, but ideally you’d be between Eastern to Central time.
* You have a professional background in Strategic Sourcing, Project Management, Procurement, Vendor Management, or a related discipline in Consulting.
* Strong understanding of the SaaS business model and knowledge of the ecosystem.
* Passionate about the value of great customer service.
* You are a clear, confident and compelling communicator — in writing, in conversation and in front of customers (especially C suite).
* You are an expert project manager who can manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure all key objectives and timelines are met.
* You have a strong bias to action and understand that in a high volume environment done is better than perfect.
