Overview: We are looking for a detail-driven and experienced
Design Manager
with a background in
facade
to join a
small to medium-sized contractor
delivering a variety of
high-end, high-profile projects across London. Their projects span
commercial, residential, and hospitality sectors, covering both
new build and cut-and-carve
schemes. Stonework experience
would be a significant advantage, though not essential - however,
facade experience is a must. Key Responsibilities: Manage the design process from tender through to construction and project handover Coordinate between in-house teams, external consultants, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of design packages Review and manage technical drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building regulations, and facade requirements Proactively identify and resolve design issues and drive value-engineering opportunities Attend design meetings, site visits, and liaise with the commercial and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle Requirements: Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator within the
facade industry Strong technical knowledge of faade systems (curtain walling, cladding, glazing etc.) Stonework detailing experience
would be highly desirable Excellent communication and coordination skills with a collaborative approach Comfortable working across various project stages and liaising with all key stakeholders Ability to be site and head office based in London-based projects, with
