An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and proactive Pharmacy Technician to join our department. The role is varied and constantly evolving to meet the needs of the service. Whether you are working alongside Clinical Ward Pharmacists, supporting the Digital Pharmacist, conducting audits or investigations for the Chief Pharmacist or accuracy checking, no two days are the same. You must be able to work collaboratively to deliver the highest quality of care, and to encourage the development of others, the service and yourselves. It will involve travel across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Accuracy checking qualification or willingness to undergo accreditation within 12 months of commencement is essential.
Currently there are no weekend duties, bank holiday working or late nights. You may be expected to work some Saturday mornings in the future. Part-time hours worked across Monday to Friday will be considered. Initially 12 month fixed term, with a view to extend.

Main duties of the job
You will need to be a confident decision maker, with clear leadership skills, excellent pharmaceutical knowledge and technical skills and a sound understanding of pharmacy service and hospital service.
Main duties include:
* Management of Discharge Medication Service
* Engagement with patients in discussions about their medication.
* Conducting audits or investigations
* Writing/Updating medicine policies or standard operating procedures.
* Clinical support for digital pharmacy systems.
* Dispensing medication or accuracy checking as appropriate.
