As part of the team, you will help us to challenge homelessness across the UK by playing a key role in finding suitable properties for Resonance to purchase, this will enable our Housing Partners to provide homes to those in need which in turn will help them improve their lives. You’ll be central to navigating, identifying and problem solving all the way through the property acquisition process. We buy “ordinary homes on ordinary streets” which are then leased to leading Housing Partners who house and support a range of vulnerable people throughout the UK including people at risk of homelessness, women who are survivors of domestic abuse or exiting prison and people with a learning disability and/or autism. We are buying properties at volume on a weekly basis. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO FOR US – RESPONSIBILITIES Identify suitable properties to purchase, in line with agreed criteria Create good relationships with our housing providers, estate agents, solicitors, developers and other property suppliers Find creative ways to identify potential properties to buy Arrange and coordinate viewings for colleagues on a weekly basis Work with colleagues to ensure acquisitions advance and that the right properties are purchased at the right price and in a timely manner Identify any problems that arise at any stage of the process and be proactive in finding solutions Use the Resonance IT systems to record these properties and the reasons why we should buy them Ensure all IT records are updated and accurate at all times Undertake ad-hoc research, produce reports and statistics relating to the property market Identify and outline new processes and support in their introduction Support the conveyancing process to ensure timely property completion Assist with Quarterly Investor Reports, communications, and meetings WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING TO US – SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Ability to understand and accept a challenge and then to find a practical solution You will need to enjoy learning and taking on new responsibilities We want someone who is organised and confident whilst being approachable and personable Able to work in a very fast paced and high-volume property acquisition process Articulate and numerate Competent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
