As a Contracts Manager (Asbestos) you will be expected to:
* Manage projects and contracts from initial enquiry through to job completion.
* Manage staff to ensure compliance and efficiencies in quality service delivery of services.
* Work directly with the MD to structure the culture of the company and ensure high levels of health and safety compliance.
* Attend sites and carry out scoping to quote for tenders for asbestos removal projects.
* Compile plan of works, method statement and risk assessment in line with company procedures and policies.
* Ensure all staff conduct their duties in line with the regulatory requirements and are given instruction to safely carry out their works.
* Work within the Company Policies and Procedures to ensure achievement and maintenance of accreditations.
* Complete documentation including risk assessments, method statements, tenders, appraisals and ASB5 notifications and close out reports and will development current / future client relationships.
* Share the responsibility of the out of hours emergency call line.
* Interact with the HSE/local authority, EA, governing bodies as required.

* Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.
To be successful in a Contracts Manager (Asbestos) role, the skills you will need:
* CSCS Card for Asbestos Removal Manager (Black)
* Knowledge of ‘INDG275/HSG65 – PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act)
* Method Statement Risk assessment course.
* Driving Licence.
* Asbestos medical certificate.
* Full Mask Face Fit.
* Half mask face fit.
* RSPH Level 4 Contract Managers’ & ‘ILM Level 4 Leadership & Management (Via ARCA or ACAD.)
* Flexibility in approach to work in terms of evening and weekends, nights and working away, emergency call support as required.
* Experience in the role and duties of a contracts manager.
* Good knowledge of current H&S and asbestos regulations.
* Ability to deal with technical asbestos removal and abatement issues when arise from site teams.
* Compiling method statements, risk assessments in line with statutory guidelines.
* Ability to be flexible and adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team.
* Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in use of tablet or PDA.
* Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.
