The post holder will work within the Referral to Treatment Team and the Cancer Information and Systems Team and have responsibility to support with the design, development and delivery of Trust wide solutions in data and reporting. Using agile methodologies, the post-holder will be required to support the development of Trust process/reports as required to enhance existing system and provide new functionality as directed. They will also have line management responsibilities and must have experience managing teams.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the Referral to Treatment team and have responsibility to support with the design, development and delivery of Trust wide solutions in data and reporting. Using agile methodologies, the post-holder will be required to support the development of Trust process/reports as required to enhance existing system and provide new functionality as directed.
The post holder will work with the RTT and Cancer Information Leads to understand highly complex issues, involving analysis of complex problems or issues and supporting with the development of solutions, which deliver information in clear, understandable formats.
The post holder will be required to lead specific project work streams and deliver projects to tight deadlines, and work with colleagues within the wider team, senior managers, clinicians and directors.
The post holder will use their knowledge of data flows, data processing skills, reporting and advanced analytics to maintain effective data processing and submission of often complex information in accordance with service level agreements and other local, statutory and national requirements.

Knowledge Skills Experience
Essential criteria
3. Extensive knowledge and experience working with SQL
4. Knowledge of ETL processes and business process automation.
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, in particular, Access and Excel.
6. Data analytical, evaluation and system development skills.
7. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft reporting solutions, including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.
Desirable criteria
8. Knowledge of national NHS datasets and models, including Referral to Treatment and Cancer Datasets
Qualifications

9. Degree or equivalent experience in a computing related subject.
