Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist Private Client Competitive Annual Salary Wellington Partime - Permanent Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to join one of our clients at their private hospital. The hospital is a range of medium and low secure mental health inpatient services, these include both male, female and LDA wards. Overall, you'll have the responsibility of managing complex cases, along with bringing together care plans and treatments for the individual needs of service users and provide advice on the effectiveness of evidence-based treatment. Depending on the service user group, you may have a caseload that spans many wards, with a caseload of roughly 15 to 20 inpatients. What you'll do: Be responsible overall patient treatment plans that are in conjunction with the MDT. Assess referrals to determine the suitability for admission. Responsible for undertaking appropriate investigations, diagnosis along with treatment. Be part of ward rounds, clinical audits and quality improvement work. Responsible for chairing and overseeing CPA reviews. Take part in clinical governance and make sure that all regulations are followed. Writing and overseeing a variety of reports, such as those for the Managers' Hearings and the Mental Health Tribunal and attending hearings. What we're looking for: GMC Registered. MRCPsych or equivalent. To be on the speciality register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with forensic experience. Have the ability to lead and work with multi-disciplinary teams. To be in good CPD standing with the royal college of Psychiatrists and to have had an appraisal within the last year. AC and Section 12(2) approval.
