Print Designer Job Description About Friends like these… Introducing Friends like these…, the London-based fashion brand that’s elevating the everyday, with signature silhouettes, statement prints and new-season stories. We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and driven Print Designer to join our in-house Design team. Job Purpose: To design and create beautiful prints that are in line with the Friends Like These handwriting. To use your creative and artistic flair to bring fresh, new and innovative ideas. We want you to bring your skill and passion to the successful Design team at Friends Like These. Job Responsibilities:
* Responsible for driving the print direction and delivering commercial and inspirational prints that our customers will love.
* Being the sole in house Print Designer, you will be reporting directly to the Design Manager and work alongside a passionate Design and Buying team.
* Identifying key prints, colours and trends for the season.
* Creating mood and trend boards seasonally.
* Creating new artworks in repeat and engineered placements.
* Understanding pricing-margins-design to price point
* Preparing print packs for factories to clearly understand
* Building and maintaining great relationships with our Design and Buying teams
* Presenting new print designs and trends to our team & Directors
* Understanding pricing-margins-design to price point.
Job Requirements:
* Have excellent knowledge of print techniques
* An expert in adobe creative suite.
* Be flexible, open to feedback and take a collaborative approach.
* Experience working in a high street, print studio or supplier environment
* Able to design trend relevant and commercial prints
* Broad understanding of current competitive marketplace
* Able to translate trends into a commercial way for the Friends Like These customer
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal / communication skills and be able to work with the team
* Great organisation skills and the ability to adjust to changes and work flexibly
