Senior Modelling Engineer - St Neots (PE19) - Perm
We are expanding an existing team led by our Engineering Manager at our office in Lincoln. You will help design, implement, and support new capability as part of a team. You will have the opportunity to take part in both domestic and international trials of your teams’ outputs while working with both present and future technology.
Working as part of a team, under a Principal Modelling Engineer, you will plan and run development Sprints. You will be supported by the Engineering Manager who will work with you to coordinate outputs between sites and to plan team training events. Recognising and relaying customer requests, demands, and comments to our team, you will be crucial to ensure that development, verification, and validation are successful. You will develop into the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the project, acting as a point of contact for stakeholder queries.
Joining a large project at the initial stages, you will help manage a small team through the production of Simulink based models for incorporation onto FPGA boards.
Core responsibilities:
1. Understanding Physics/Mathematical principles at Degree-level
2. System Design Documentation
3. Modelling systems
4. Coding experience (MATLAB & Simulink)
Desirable experience:
1. Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
2. Experience in managing a small team
3. Experience with the FPGA build process for Xilinx targets
4. Requirements Management (Simulink Requirements)
5. Industry knowledge of EW systems
