Job summary
We are looking for a newly qualified / about to qualify student radiographer to come and join our friendly team in West Sussex. We can offer a supportive environment to help establish and develop your skills in general radiography, cone beam CT, basic non-contrast CT and fluoroscopy work.
We would welcome applications from final year pre-registration students if qualifying over Winter period 2024-5.
This position is a fixed term position for 12 months from December 2024.
Informal visits are welcomed and encouraged.
Main duties of the job
The job encompasses
1. Acting as an IRMER operator for radiology equipment
2. Providing patients with outstanding care
3. Working as part of a team with both clinical and non clinical radiology workforce/other departments
4. Competency in vetting and protocolling radiographic, Cone Beam CT referrals
5. Supporting delivery of on-call system
6. Developing excellent communication skills

14. HCPC registration (graduating students - not to be marked down)
15. Evidence of CPD or able to demonstrate specialist knowledge within this field through practical experience
Knowledge

16. Knowledge in a range of Radiography, techniques including trauma radiography knowing how to adapt technique due to patient condition
17. Knowledge of incident escalation in equipment failure, patient condition and exposure errors
Desirable
18. Cone Beam CT knowledge (training given if no experience)
19. Computed tomography (CT) experience

20. Full range of Radiographic Competencies in: General X-Ray, Mobile Radiography, barium/specials (either as a student or as a qualified radiographer)
21. Audit experience (either in current department/University) with recommendations from the findings
