They specialise in design, installation, project management and consultancy of turnkey processing plants and bulk material handling systems across a number of sectors, including: quarrying, ports, cement, renewables, tunnelling and aggregates.
Recently acquired by a global engineering business, they are looking to grow the team with some significant projects around the corner.
The Head of Engineering will be focused on delivering best in class compliant design solutions, with a focused approach on cost, scope, quality, DFM and ease of installation.
The role requires cross functional relationships with all departments. There will also be a requirement to support/and or lead client meetings to ensure that scope and technical content is understood and communicated effectively and efficiently.
What kind of person will succeed in this role?
1. Chartered Engineer - any bias will do, but structural or mechanical might stand you in good stead.
2. Previous experience in Engineering Management, leading technical and project engineering teams.
3. Knowledge of bulk material handling systems ISN'T necessary, but considerable experience in fast-paced, heavy industry markets would be preferable (Mining, Maritime, Construction etc).
4. Familiarity with Project management tools and NEC contracts.
5. Flexible working arrangement - ideally spending 2 days in Adlington and 1 day in Sunderland a week.
