Leader Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with children with SEMH in a local school. In this role, you will be working alongside children diagnosed with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. You will be expected to support students on a one-to-one basis with occasional group work. You will need to adapt and think on your feet due to the variety of this role. Following IEPs and EHCPs and ensuring any targets/plans are met will be essential. Helping children flourish and reach their full potential will be at the forefront of everything you do.
Role Requirements
For this role, experience is not required but is desirable. You should have a passion for working with children with additional needs and understand the importance of ensuring learning is accessible for everyone. Empathy and proactivity are crucial to meet the needs of all students. If you have a background in Youth Work, Sport, Army, Police, Prison, or Creative Arts such as Music or Art, we encourage you to apply!
