To support this journey, we are seeking an experienced Prospect Research Manager to be a key member of our team, helping us identify and cultivate new relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporations, trusts and foundations. This is a unique opportunity for a driven development professional to make a direct impact in one of the world's leading business schools. Key responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive research and prepare detailed briefings on prospective donors, producing background reports and wealth assessments to guide engagement strategies.
2. Identify potential donors across sectors, including alumni, corporates and philanthropic organisations, aiming to establish enduring relationships.
3. Prepare detailed reports on potential legal, financial and reputational risks, supporting the School’s decision-making on major gifts and funding acceptance.
4. Manage and support a Development and Alumni Coordinator, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and identifying training and development opportunities.
5. Ensure adherence to data protection laws and maintain the highest standards of donor confidentiality and compliance.
You will have a background in prospect research for fundraising or in a research-intensive role within sectors like consultancy, law, banking or professional services. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to produce clear, accurate and concise reports. You should have strong research skills, an understanding of the business landscape and current affairs, and numeracy skills for interpreting financial data.
