About the Client: Our client is a well-established and leading fire & security company based in the borough of Bexley, specialising in providing high-quality fire protection solutions across a range of sectors. With a focus on safety, reliability, and innovation, they are seeking to expand their team with a skilled and experienced Project/Contracts Manager to manage and oversee key projects.
Role Overview: The Project/Contracts Manager will be responsible for the management and successful delivery of projects within the passive fire industry. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management, ideally within the fire protection sector, with a strong understanding of passive fire safety measures. This role will also require leadership skills, as the individual will be expected to build and lead a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Oversee multiple fire protection projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Team Leadership: Build, manage, and develop a strong project team, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
Client Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent customer service and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all projects meet industry standards, codes, and regulations within the fire safety sector, particularly passive fire safety.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays or cost overruns.
Reporting: Provide regular project progress reports, including financial tracking, project timelines, and key deliverables to senior management.
Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
Skills & Experience: Essential:
Significant experience working within the passive fire industry, with a solid understanding of fire protection systems and passive fire safety measures.
Proven experience in managing fire protection projects, ideally in a contracts or project management role.
Strong leadership skills, with experience in building and developing a project team.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Full UK driving licence.Desirable:
Relevant qualifications or certifications in fire safety, project management, or construction.
Experience working with or managing large-scale fire protection projects.
Familiarity with fire safety compliance and regulations.Benefits:
