Product Manager - Job Description

The Role:
We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Product Manager to join our dynamic Product department, with a focus on sportsbook and casino experiences. The role will be full-time and permanent and will follow a hybrid working pattern with a mixture of working from home & our Liverpool office. The role will include the following activities:
1. Managing the product roadmap: including defining, prioritising and managing the roadmap
2. Working with internal stakeholders, including senior management, across Technology, Marketing, Research, Commercial and Trading to ensure we maximise the return on our technology investment and balance short-term needs with longer-term strategic goals
3. Product leadership: leading the development and delivery of sportsbook and casino product features from ideation through to launch, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy
4. Data-driven decision-making, using data and user insights to drive product decisions and continuously optimize performance and collaborating with UX and data science teams to build products based on actionable insights
5. Cross-functional collaboration: engaging with technical teams, third-party partners, and executive stakeholders to ensure product vision, requirements, and timelines are clearly communicated and met
6. Business requirements & documentation: writing clear and concise business requirement documents (BRDs), business processes and/or customer journeys and user stories, ensuring they are detailed and technical to enable execution by development teams; communicating these to all stakeholders (e.g. through use of wireframes, conversations etc.)
7. Technical proficiency: leveraging your understanding of technical and API documentation to collaborate with technical teams and assess product feasibility
8. Innovation: proactively challenge the status quo and push boundaries to help deliver market-defining products that enhance the user experience and set new industry standards
9. Prioritising, organising and balancing important tasks and any additional duties as required, commensurate with the role
The Person:
You will need a minimum of c. 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, with a track record of success in the activities listed above as well as a relevant qualification. You will be at the heart of developing and delivering market-leading sportsbook and casino products, working closely with cross-functional teams, including UX, data science, technical teams and other stakeholders.
1. A proactive, innovative & commercial mindset, with the ability to help define the future of gaming products and build products that will be enjoyable for users, whilst being profitable & sustainable for the business.
2. A track record of success in a product leadership role with a sportsbook or casino focus, resulting in smooth execution and timely delivery of product initiatives
3. Excellent collaboration, communication & persuasion skills to engage various stakeholders (executives, QA / technical teams & third parties) in projects & product design, development, testing & launch phases
4. Expertise in the relevant product market & knowledge of how to define, prioritise and execute product roadmaps, collate data and analyse customer problems & opportunities
5. A data-driven and strong analytical mindset, with the ability to identify key metrics, using these to monitor & measure progress & facilitate product growth within a framework of PCI & GDPR compliance
6. Strong technical understanding, with the ability to create, read and interpret detailed technical / API business requirement documents and user stories
7. Producing test scripts and working closely with QA teams
8. Experience of working within the sportsbook or casino industries
