Millfields First School is looking for a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Inclusion Assistant to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work 1:1 or in small groups with children who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
About the Role:
✔ Providing tailored support for children with additional needs, including those with autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, and other learning differences
✔ Working closely with class teachers and SEND staff to adapt learning materials and strategies
✔ Using creative and engaging approaches to make learning accessible and enjoyable
✔ Supporting children in developing their social, emotional, and communication skills
✔ Helping to implement EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan) targets and personalised learning plans
✔ Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported
What We’re Looking For:
A kind, patient, and empathetic individual with a passion for supporting children with SEND
Experience working with children with additional needs (desirable but not essential)
A calm and adaptable approach, able to respond to different learning styles and behaviours
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, and external professionals
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all pupils
