We are seeking a motivated and experienced Compliance Lead Auditor to join our Assurance team. The successful candidate will take the lead in auditing both new and existing licensed Scheme Providers, ensuring they meet defined compliance criteria.
This role involves a combination of desk-based reviews, on-site assessments, and collaboration with various internal departments to deliver quality reports and services in line with our documented methodologies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough desk-based reviews of Scheme Providers’ policies, procedures, guidance, and training materials to assess compliance effectiveness.
2. Perform interviews, facilitate discussions, and carry out physical reviews of records at Scheme Providers’ premises to gather evidence supporting compliance with the TrustMark Framework Operating Requirement.
3. Develop and implement an audit schedule, ensuring adequate planning and time management.
4. Collaborate with internal departments to gather business intelligence prior to engagements and disseminate results post-engagement.
5. Document audit outcomes and findings in a clear and concise report format for both internal and external circulation.
6. Represent TrustMark as an ambassador in external engagements.
7. Provide expert advice to colleagues and stakeholders, supporting the wider company and relevant projects.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Proven experience as an auditor, with a recognized qualification and a strong skillset in auditing practices.
2. A disciplined approach to time management, with the ability to handle smart and risk-led data inputs.
3. Strong technical, data, and process support skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide actionable solutions.
4. Excellent client relationship-building and development skills.
5. Experience in understanding and developing quality processes within a culture of continual improvement and efficiency.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).
7. Self-motivated with the ability to manage a diary of appointments while balancing the demands of the role.
8. Leadership capabilities to manage and drive standards forward while upholding the TrustMark standard.
9. Willingness and ability to travel across the UK as required.
