About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to establish and implement processes for assessing and monitoring Demolition and Construction Management Plans (DCMPs). This role involves close collaboration with teams across Highways, Environmental Health, and Planning departments to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interdepartmental Liaison: Engage with Highways, Environmental Health, and Planning teams to align DCMP assessment requirements.
* Process Mapping: Develop comprehensive workflows for the evaluation, negotiation, and approval of DCMPs, detailing interactions among relevant departments and external stakeholders.
* Organisational Structuring: Determine optimal placement of new DCMP officer roles within the existing organisational framework.
* Role Definition: Draft and finalise job descriptions for DCMP officers, securing agreement from pertinent teams, Human Resources, and Trade Unions.
* Recruitment Oversight: Lead the hiring process to onboard qualified candidates for DCMP officer positions.
Candidate Profile:
* Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing projects, particularly within the public sector.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the Planning system and pertinent legislation related to Highways and Environmental Health as statutory consultees in demolition and construction contexts.
* Communication Skills: Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple departments and external stakeholders.
* Adaptability: Comfort with predominantly remote work, with readiness to attend regular virtual meetings and occasional site visits as required.
