Speciality Doctor (ST3-6 equivalent) in Paediatrics

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Princess Alexandra Hospital, we are looking for a Trust Middle Grade doctor (ST3-ST6) to complement our existing middle grade rota including contribution to the on-call rota. The candidate will provide care to a variety of clinical areas including the Paediatric Emergency Department, Short Stay Unit, Dolphin Paediatric ward, Neonatal Unit, Postnatal ward, and the Outpatients department. They will have access to consultant support at all times.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the post will include the day-to-day management of sick children, infants, and neonates, assisted by nursing staff and senior house officers under the direct supervision of the Consultant Paediatricians.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration
* Higher degree (PhD or Master)
Experience
* Clinical training and experience in Paediatrics.
* Presenting and completing audits.
* Published audits.
Skills
* Experience of teaching & supervising junior medical staff.
* Commitment to support research and development within the Trust R&D policy.

Salary: £43,923 to £63,152 a year, dependent on experience.
