Job Overview
You will be joining the Anglian Water Services Bioresources ADP (Asset Delivery and Planning) team who are responsible for the System Planning, Project Promotion, Solution Development, and end-to-end benefits realisation of our Bioresources AMP8 Capital Programme, alongside the development of our AMP9 Bioresources Strategy. The role is diverse and provides lots of opportunity to land innovative thinking and to challenge the perceived norm.
What you’ll be doing
The core functions of the role are outlined below, however, this may develop over time:
* Manage and deliver a rolling programme of investigations, solutions & investment promotions.
* Investigate business risks and work with key stakeholders to develop and promote the best TOTEX based solutions and system plans to resolve them.
* Develop costed detailed solutions/conceptual designs within the System Planning and Systems Solutions Development stages of projects and parcels of projects.
* Lead the ROV (Risk, Opportunity Values) process during Solution Development and Project Review stages.
* Manage the TOTEX Investment Process providing technical and benefits realisation support to our business and Alliancing Frameworks throughout the project / parcel of projects lifecycle.
* Work closely with Portfolio Leads, Commercial and Finance Teams, site-based Operational and Maintenance teams, and our award-winning Alliance Framework partners to deliver the above.
* Use existing knowledge and future learning to improve the team's capability and effectiveness.
* Support Portfolio Leads, Circular Economy, Carbon Net Zero, Operational and Maintenance, and Asset Strategy and Regulation Teams in developing our AMP9 Business Plan.
What you’ll bring
* Experience of cost estimating and using costing tools.
* Experience of cost/benefit or risk & value techniques.
* Understanding of the impacts of business risks.
* Able to work collaboratively.
* Ability to think analytically and tactically to understand and resolve problems.
* Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop strategies and solutions.
* Self-motivated.
* Able to prioritise and manage a dynamic workload and work to deadlines.
* Able to challenge others constructively.
* Ability to adapt, think strategically and challenge constructively.
* Excellent communication and reporting skills.
* Good IT skills particularly Excel, PowerBI, C55 and Word.
* Ideally (but not essential) experience of working within a regulated environment.
* Ideally (but not essential) experience of working within wastewater, sewage sludge recycling and/or energy from waste environment.
* Ideally (but not essential) an awareness of environmental permitting rules and regulations relating to wastewater, sewage sludge treatment and/or energy from waste.
