Working as a member of the Operations Shift Leadership Team, the primary role of an Operations Shift Manager is to demonstrate ownership and responsibility for the development of their Operators (team of 25), Production Lines, and Process areas. This role requires working either 24/7 or 24/5 depending on shift allocation.
What are we looking for?
* Engineering or scientific educational background would be preferred
* Fluent English verbal and written skills
* Competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Competent in analyzing data and creating clear actions to improve performance
* Experienced Line Manager of large teams in the FMCG industry
* Strong leadership qualities who can flex their style based on their audience
* A high potential Shift Manager wanting to progress into a future site leadership role
What will be your key responsibilities?
As part of a Leadership team of 7 Shift Managers reporting into the Site Operations Manager, you will contribute to delivering the site’s safety, quality, associate engagement, and productivity targets. You will drive performance metrics through engaging and developing your shift operations team whilst aligning priorities with other factory departments (i.e. Reliability, Planning, Projects). The Shift Manager will be able to make clear and decisive day-to-day decisions and follow through with actions to drive performance while also being capable of planning and implementing actions for their 6 – 12-month objectives. The Shift Manager will hold their team accountable for their performance and identify opportunities for development as well as recognize successes.
