You will be responsible for providing customers with support and solutions to their insurance needs and your duties will primarily be telephone based - you will be attending to inbound client calls, there is no cold calling involved. Paid overtime is available once you have completed your training through the Sterling Academy, you can earn £15 per hour ( and up to £18.75 per hour ) once you have completed your weekly hours. So working just 5 hours extra a week could be an increase of over £4000 on top of your basic salary. Great communication skills, good level of computer skills, confidence, resilient and be someone who is friendly, helpful and has an engaging personality. The Role: Your duties will primarily be telephone based; receiving calls from prospective customers, taking all relevant information, providing quotations for motor and commercial insurance and securing the sale of the policy. Customers will need to be advised of policy details. You will take payments to initiate cover, deal with online quotations and contact customers that have requested call-backs. Successful candidates will be given full training on our products and how to use the computer system. You will be trained in insurance underwriting and will learn sales techniques to help place and secure business. Previous sales experience is not necessary but is a big advantage,you will have good communication skills that could translate to a confident and friendly telephone manner are essential for this position. Your daily duties could include: Meet the minimum required benchmark of 30 calls per day You will be working as part of a team and you will be supported by your Team Manager. Meet the minimum required SLA (Service level agreements ) benchmark set out from your TMs Call rating criteria is essential You must strive to improve in all areas and remain FCA compliant. You will be responsible for meeting the minimum personal/team targets and benchmarks. You must show a desire to learn and understand product knowledge. In doing so you will understand if the risk is appropriate for the client and what we offer outside the screen options. You will be required to up sell and cross sell suitable products and extra benefits. You will be part of a fast moving environment so organisation and communication is key to your success, ensure your referrals are efficient and notes are clear and concise. You will be responsible for hitting targets for renewing policies, this will involve making outbound calls to follow up leads, using appropriate methods to attain closure and achieving performance targets. You will be helping customer though their journey, more often than not you will be their first impression of the company after the sale last year so it is important you provide great service to the customer. You will be working as part of a team so fully acquaint yourself with other members of the team in a professional manner.
