We are now recruiting for a Catering Assistant at Queens Hospital Burton. We are looking for compassionate, caring, hardworking, and flexible team members who are committed to enhancing our patient experience. All staff working for UHDB play a key role in the organisation. You must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and have a can-do attitude.
You will receive full training including a level 2 food safety and allergen training, other mandatory training, and all essential to role training.

The main duties of a Catering Assistant working at Burton Hospital are to work as part of Facilities & ward teams to carry out a variety of tasks associated with food preparation and food and beverage service to patients, visitors, and staff.
* To deliver good principles of customer care ensuring helpfulness, awareness, and compassion to patients, visitors, staff, and colleagues.
* Preparation of patient meal trays.
* Service of cold and hot food items with meal delivery to patients.
* Cleaning duties within the kitchen and other associated areas in accordance with departmental cleaning schedules to include equipment, work surfaces, crockery, and cutlery.
You will ideally possess a good understanding of Mathematics and English. Have a good understanding of customer care and be able to communicate well with patients, staff, and visitors. Catering experience and a Food Safety Certificate are desirable but not essential; skills and technical training will be given.
