Locum Consultant in General Surgery (Paeds interest preference)
This full-time post is for a Locum Consultant in General & Paediatric Surgery who will join the existing Surgical Team delivering care across Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.
This role is based at Wexham Park Hospital, however there will be a requirement to travel to other trust sites as and when required (namely, Heatherwood Elective Centre).
The job is a full-time post comprising 10 Programmed Activities (PAs).

Essential
* Able to demonstrate effective leadership skills
Qualifications
Essential
* FRCS or equivalent registration
* Full GMC registration
* Possession of CTT or within six months of receipt at the date of interview
Experience
Essential
* A wide grounding during training of all aspects of emergency surgery
* Experience of teaching clinical skills to undergraduates and postgraduates
* Understand principles and participated in audit activity
* Understand the principles of Clinical Governance and demonstrate experience of evidence-based practice.
* Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical and surgical problems
Desirable
* Evidence of Research Activity or Higher Degree
* Completion of recognised College specialty training in sub-speciality
* Completion of teaching course
* Undertaken research with published papers in refereed journals.
* Experience of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy
* Emergency surgery course
* Sub-specialist interest
