We're a team of specialists charged with managing the firm’s worldwide taxes. We are responsible for tax compliance, financial reporting of taxes, tax planning, business advisory and management of taxing authority examinations. Our work contributes directly to the firm’s success, and the division is ideal for creative and collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Vice President with significant change management experience to join Tax to lead an in-flight multi-year global operating model transformation program. Program objectives include significantly uplifting the division’s data sourcing and transformation capabilities – through establishment of the firm’s first tax data lake and engineered calculation and analysis platform - together with standardizing, globalizing and operationalizing global direct and indirect tax processes.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
* Bachelors degree and 6+ years relevant work experience in Tax, Accounting, Finance or related field leading projects
* Proven leadership abilities, with demonstrable skill leading through influence, building consensus among multiple stakeholders, and managing up to senior/executive-level stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize workload to drive results, solve problems and take accountability for deadlines/outcomes
* Have a proven track record of scoping and driving delivery of projects and achieving results independently on time and to budget including:
o Strong analytical skills and project management technical skills
o Project scope definition
o Project issues, challenges, risks definition
o Status reporting
o Development of high quality deliverables
o Organization skills - ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly and make decisions as required
o Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure and to provide practical solution
* Demonstrated ability to work across teams, regions and functions, preferably in the financial services industry
* Demonstrate excellent people management skills and ability to influence key stakeholders outside their direct control
* Be highly collaborative, team-oriented and strong consensus builder
* Remains composed under pressure, prioritizes and makes decisions in a fast-paced environment with risk mindset
* Previous experience with JIRA, setting and managing project budgets and running steering committee calls and steering group/working group project framework
* Be proficient in Jira, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Visio and BPM through Signavio
