We are on course to significantly transform the later living experience in the UK with a commitment to expand our portfolio to 34 retirement villages, which equates to around 5,000 age-appropriate homes for retirees.

The Role: Estimator
This role involves estimating various works, assisting in the planning of work schedules, ensuring that work is completed to the required standards following current best practices, and ensuring compliance regarding Health and Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing Accurate Quotations: Analysing client requirements and specifications to generate precise estimates covering labour, materials, time, and equipment costs across various services.
* Site Assessments: Conducting or reviewing site visits, as necessary, to understand project specifics, assess potential challenges, and refine estimates to reflect on-site realities.
* Costing and Pricing: Researching and sourcing materials to ensure competitive pricing and build margins that meet the company’s profitability targets, balancing client needs with operational costs.
* Overseeing the Team: Overseeing the Inspired Works team carrying out repairs and maintenance works for the Inspired Villages portfolio to maintain and prolong the life of the estate.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure work meets specific standards and regulations.
* Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks, developing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate project documentation, including progress reports, actual project costs, change orders, and other relevant records.
* Collaborating with Wider Teams: Work closely with the operations, field, and service management teams to ensure all quotations align with current capacity, resources, and company standards.
* Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote environmentally responsible practices.
* Customer and Community Relations: Foster positive relations with village management and the village community, addressing concerns and ensuring that all work aligns with the company’s requirements.
* Continuous Improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project delivery.
Working Hours:
* This is a full-time opportunity where the Estimator will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Midlands-based with national travel required.
