We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic Applications technical team at Birmingham City Council. As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert support for various software applications and systems. You'll work closely with our functional, development, delivery, and security teams to ensure the smooth operation of our existing solutions and to collaborate in implementing new ones.
The ideal candidate should be a user-centric, highly motivated individual with extensive experience in providing expert technical support and guidance to internal teams. They should also be able to collaborate and work systematically with other stakeholders to ensure optimal implementation, performance, and support of a variety of solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of a Revenues & Benefits application, with a preference for experience in 3rd Party products from NEC (formerly Northgate).
2. Application Support: Lead on the implementation, seamless support, and operation of applications across multiple business areas.
3. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain excellent relationships with peers and stakeholders within the business.
About You
1. Experience: Comprehensive experience in Revenues and Benefits service support.
2. Technical Skills: Strong IT skills, with extensive hands-on experience in implementing, troubleshooting, and managing software applications.
3. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
