The post holder would work closely with the Renal Service including another Clinical Psychologist, Consultant Specialists and Specialist Nurses. They will also be part of the wider Clinical Health Psychology & Neuropsychology services to the RDUH Hospital both in Exeter and North Devon sites. There is a strong commitment across the Devon Partnership NHS Trust and the RDUH to develop integrated services for patients with acute and long term conditions. We enjoy strong working links between our IAPT long term conditions service (Talking health), and liaison psychiatry services that are leading to integrated developments in service provision across the hospital. We have good links with the University of Exeter Doctorate in Clinical Psychology training course for whom we provide clinical placements and where opportunities for clinical research and teaching exist. The post involves working alongside the other psychologist in the renal service to deliver assessments and individual psychological therapies for people at every stage of renal ill-health. The psychology team is embedded within all aspects of the Renal Service. You will have the opportunity to contribute to MDT meetings, department referral allocation meetings, work with other professionals and be involved in delivering group interventions.
