Your opportunity
To join the Quality Team in the Environment & Release area, tasked with driving forward large-scale global change initiatives and the delivery of high-profile programmes on behalf of the Technology Department at JHI. The nature of these Projects and Programmes will vary over time and is likely to be diverse reflecting current business priorities.
1. You will be responsible for all aspects of non-production environment management and release management. This role works closely with Change Enablement, so a good understanding of Change and Incident management is also required.
2. Senior Leadership: Develop, promote, and implement cohesive Release and Environment strategies that align with the company's technology goals.
3. You will be part of the team who act as gatekeepers to Production.
4. You will be a keen advocate for Quality and support the SDLC process.
5. You will be a DevOps evangelist and help drive the adoption across key programmes of change.
6. You will partner with teams across the company and forge relationships with areas outside the Tech Ops team.
7. Create and execute against a test environment management process to solve both tactical and strategic environmental and/or release challenges.
8. Collaborating cross-functionally, contribute towards long term test environment and release management standards/processes that align and grow with our Agile, Cloud and Dev Ops strategies.
9. Create and execute against an approach for driving adoption, implementation, governance and education of new test environment and release processes.
10. Non-production data management including co-ordination of data refreshes.
11. Foster a culture of sustainable continuous improvement and actively embrace Research new technologies and methods to help adopt best practice for Environment & Release Management
12. Own the identification of all environment and infrastructure requirements (including Data and/or virtual services for testing) across our complex, integrated landscape.
13. Manage the implementation of these needs within the technical/systems ecosystem at JHI in a forward-thinking manner that balances near term concerns / tactical solutions with the longer term / strategic direction
14. Always work with the big picture in mind. Liaise with wider technology teams to coordinate inter dependencies and resolve issues
15. Work with programs and support teams to ensure that all required information is received, captured, validated and available as required
16. Work constructively and transparently, as possible, with third party service providers
17. Liaise with the wider programme to help manage delivery milestones and the overall timelines. Contribute to the maintenance of risk/issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates
18. Support the Test Strategy & Approach. Working closely with the Quality Team to support all enabler aspects of all levels of testing, including system, NFT., UAT etc.. Provide Enabler Support for E2E testing for applicable changes

Must have skills
30. Deep understanding of Environment and Release Management especially in a hybrid environment model.
31. Experience of Agile, DevOps and SDLC.
32. Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
33. Excellent collaborator management skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with both business and technology stakeholders.
34. Adept communicator with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
35. Good knowledge of the Asset Management sector including Front, Middle and Back office architectures.
36. Experience of working with outsourced suppliers of Asset Management systems.
37. Ideally experience of working on large scale business & technology transformation programmes
38. Experience and ability to analyze high-level business requirements and translate these into overall detailed system-level designs to be used for architectural design, cost / benefit analysis, and solution development
39. Experience writing acceptance criteria / test cases, implementation, capturing sign offs and presenting demos to business
40. Excellent stakeholder management skills
41. Strong database knowledge with expertise in database design and SQL (MS SQL) data manipulation and analysis.
42. Strong foundation in software development, system architecture and cyber securities practices.
43. Beneficial to have skills in a scripting language such as Python, or similar, with experience of operating in on-prem, hybrid, and cloud computing platforms (Azure)
44. Strong problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on consensus building and collaboration.
45. Strong Microsoft Skills, including PowerPoint & Excel; understand and document Process Maps using tools such as Visio.
46. A good knowledge of financial products used in Asset Management including, Equities, Cash, Fixed Income and complex Swap instruments.

49. Ability to communicate, present, influence, reason and demonstrate the ability to articulate fund accounting concepts to non-fund accounting personnel in a clear and compelling manner
