One of Australia’s leading distributors of consumer electronics and appliances is experiencing growth. With established relationships across the country, there is now a unique opportunity for someone to join the business as a Channel Manager driving expansion across the retail market.
The Role
As a Channel Manager, you will be responsible for introducing a range of consumer electronics to leading retailers across Australia. You will leverage your retail business network, introducing the brand to new retail partners, securing strong listings, prime shelf space and successful sales across multiple channels. Your day to day will include:
1. Develop and implement a channel strategy to introduce and grow the brand within major retailers.
2. Leverage existing relationships with retail buyers to secure listings, negotiate favourable terms, and maximise product visibility.
3. Act as the primary point of contact for key retail partners, managing accounts and ensuring ongoing sales performance.
4. Collaborate with marketing, product, and supply chain teams to align distribution and promotional efforts with brand goals.
5. Analyse sales data and market trends to optimise channel performance and ensure competitive market positioning.
6. Lead high-level negotiations on product placement, pricing, and promotional strategies.
7. Provide regular updates and reports on channel activities and performance to senior management.
All About You
1. Experience: Experience in channel management, sales, or business development within the consumer electronics or FMCG industries.
2. Retail Expertise: Prior experience as a Senior Buyer, Category Manager, or Merchandise Manager at a major retailer is highly desirable.
3. Relationships: Strong, existing relationships with retailers across Australia.
4. Sales Skills: Proven track record in driving sales growth through effective channel strategies and retail partnerships.
5. Negotiation & Influence: Expertise in negotiating with senior retail decision-makers, with the ability to secure favourable outcomes.
6. Analytical: Strong ability to analyse sales data and market trends to make data-driven decisions.
7. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

1. Competitive salary package (circa $100K - $150K base) with performance-based incentives.
