Youwill be a highly motivated forward-thinking professional who can demonstratethe ability to lead and support staff in a proactive and effective way. Youwill be expected to lead by example, providing evidence based care to thepatients within the ward. As the regional MI centre for Worcestershire andHerefordshire, the Cardiology unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital providesangiography and angioplasty as well as a 24/7 PPCI service. In addition to thistemporary and permanent pacing and a complex device service is also based onsite.
Main duties of the job
Toactively promote the development of evidence based practice.
To maintain a high profile within the specialty havingdirect clinical
involvement.
To develop and encourage innovation in nursing practicewithin the
specialty.
To identify "best practice" from availableliterature and disseminate throughout the Unit.
Highlight areas for change as a result of research oraudit and in conjunction with Ward Manager/Sister act as a change agent.
To assist in the implementation of mentorship,preceptorship and clinical supervision.
Carry out all nursing procedures according toWorcestershire Acute

5. Recent acute cardiac experience.
6. Ability to manage own workload and delegate appropriately.
Desirable
7. ITU/HDU experience. Acute General Medicine. Experience within cardiac catheterisation.
