Position: Qualified Counsellor (Full/Part-Time, Self-Employed)
Stable Minds CIC is expanding and seeking a dedicated and skilled counsellor who shares our commitment to mental health excellence. The ideal candidate should be eager to contribute to our expanding services, as we are rapidly growing to meet increasing community needs and our new walk-in mental health centre.
This role is pivotal in supporting our mission to offer high-quality mental health care and in participating in the dynamic expansion of our organisation. We value professionals who are passionate about making a real difference in the field of mental health and who can thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Duties:
* Conduct individual 1:1 sessions with adults and young people
* Assess clients' mental health needs and develop treatment plans
* Provide evidence-based counselling interventions
* Monitor and evaluate clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
* Maintain accurate and confidential client records and manage own caseload
Experience:
* Level 4 counselling, preferably as an integrative counsellor
* Level 5 CYP Counselling would be beneficial
* Experience working with children aged 5+
* Member of the BACP or equivalent
* Experience providing counselling to individuals
* Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and interventions
* Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
* Empathy and compassion for clients
* Active listening and effective communication skills
* Ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
* Cultural sensitivity and awareness of diversity issues in therapy
* Confidence in working with children aged 5 and above would be beneficial
Hours: Self-employed basis with an option to go employed after a trial period.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 30 per week
