Purchasing Manager – Cheshire - Salary of £45,000 + Bonus + Company Benefits
The Job:
An established and expanding organisation based in Cheshire is seeking a Purchasing Manager to manage its procurement and inventory control functions. The organisation is looking for a commercially astute professional to optimise operations and support strategic purchasing initiatives.
You will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing department, managing supplier negotiations, optimising stock levels, and driving process improvements across procurement operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong commercial and analytical skills who thrives in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.

We’re recruiting on behalf of a long-standing, independent agricultural retailer located in Cheshire. Known for its strong community roots and expert product knowledge, this business supplies a wide range of goods across the farming, animal care, and country lifestyle sectors.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have:
* 2–5 years of procurement experience in a relevant or similar sector
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills
* Strong commercial awareness and a detail-oriented mindset
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
* Experience managing stock levels and working with MRP systems (SAP desirable)
* MCIPS qualification or working towards it (desirable)
* Understanding of LEAN principles (desirable)
* Product knowledge of agricultural, equestrian, or machinery sectors (desirable)
