As part of an expansion to our Radiology Services, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to come and join our dynamic Radiology Team at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford.
We are looking for full-time Band 7 Senior Radiographers, with proven NHS experience in cross-sectional imaging and post-graduate specialism in CT.
The cross-sectional team is expanding with the introduction of 7-day working and the development of the Trust's Community Diagnostic Centre.
The Trust's primary Radiology Department is located at Darent Valley Hospital, servicing the populations of Gravesham, Swanley, Dartford, and Bexley.
CT services are located at Darent Valley Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital Sidcup, with future expansion of services at Livingstone Hospital (CDC) in June 2023.
The Trust has a strong commitment to equality and diversity. We aim to employ a representative workforce that reflects the communities we serve. 'Positive action' initiatives can be used whenever an under-represented group is identified. As our workforce is currently under-represented in bands 6, 7, and 8, we encourage applications from people with black or minority ethnic backgrounds.
Main duties of the job
DGT is undertaking changes to its Radiology department with the expansion of MRI services, including the building of a second MRI scanner, four CT scanners across two sites, and the development of a Community Diagnostic Centre to further expand diagnostic capacity.
The successful candidates will be based at Darent Valley Hospital Radiology department, providing senior expertise and experience to the existing management team, with an opportunity for CT/General staff to rotate through the Radiology Department at Queen Mary's Sidcup.
Working days and/or shift patterns will be agreed by the line manager to meet the needs of the service and will be based on a 7-day service.
